by
Giang Thanh Long (VDF Tokyo/PhD Student at GRIPS)

Continuing with the success and experience of the first Vietnamese-Japanese Studentsf Scientific Exchange (VJSE) Meeting in 2004, the second VJSE-2005 Meeting was held at Osaka University on November 5-6. It provided various opportunities for students and researchers to exchange not only academic ideas but also cultural activities.

Solidarity - Cooperation - Development
was slogan of VJSE-2005

The opening ceremony was held at the Sigma Hall with the participation of many Japanese professors, Vietnamese young and senior researchers as well as Vietnamese officials. They all highly appreciated VJSE and its activities that link Vietnamese and Japanese people in in a number of aspects.

This was the second time that VDF Tokyo became one of the sponsors of the VJSE Meeting. Recently, VDF Tokyo is getting known to both Vietnamese and Japanese students, particularly in Kanto and Kansai areas. VDF publications in a number of fields related to the development of Vietnam were in display at VJSE, attracting the attention of the participants.
